Phishing Attacks

Phishing Attacks

There has been a significant uptick in bogus requests for money or for help with purchasing gift cards or desperate requests for “a favor” in the name of the Rector. Neither Lael nor any member of the St. Peter’s administrative staff will ask you for money for their personal use or “emergency help” via email. These are scams (and often bear similar but never accurate addresses from the church). Please don’t answer these messages! Mark the phishing email as spam/junk and report it to Google: support.google.com/mail/contact/abuse. If you have inadvertently opened and responded to such an email, change your email password as soon as possible.
